The enquiry forms collect your name, email address, enquiry type and message so Kevin Halliday’s team can consider your request and respond. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. Your email address is used as the reply address for your message.

Enquiries are emailed to hello@kevinhalliday.com. A private copy is also kept in the website’s administrator area for 30 days to help the team manage requests and recover from email-delivery problems. Those website copies are then automatically deleted. Email correspondence may be kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting business relationship.

Keeping the website reliable.

SiteGround hosts this website in its United States data centre. The hosting and email services process information needed to operate the site and deliver messages. Server and security logs can include IP addresses, request details and timestamps.

Spam protection uses a hidden form field, short-lived security tokens and rate limits. Rate limits use a cryptographic hash of the connection address or submitted email address, rather than retaining those values in the rate-limit record. These records expire after a short period, generally within an hour. They are not used for advertising.

Simple, private measurement.

The website counts page visits, enquiry submissions and video starts in aggregate to understand which content is useful. This measurement uses no advertising cookies, visitor profiles, cross-site tracking or persistent visitor identifiers. It does not collect your message, email address, full query string or browsing history. Aggregate daily counts are kept for 90 days. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control preferences are respected.

Videos and other websites.

YouTube players load when you choose to play an episode. Playing a video connects your browser to YouTube and is subject to Google’s privacy policy. Some video thumbnails also load from YouTube’s image service. Local background films are served by this website.

Links to Shed Talk, the businesses, podcast services and social networks take you to separate websites with their own privacy practices.

Your choices and questions.

You can choose not to submit a form, or contact the team directly by email. To ask about access, correction or deletion of information you have provided, or to withdraw permission for further contact, email hello@kevinhalliday.com. The team may need to verify your request and retain information where required for an existing obligation. Hosting backups may retain previously stored information until their normal rotation completes.

This notice will be updated if the website’s practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
